Group Terms & Conditions for The Liner Hotel at Liverpool
What is a Group Booking?
A booking of a maximum of 5 rooms is considered a group booking with The Liner Hotel. If a group of individuals have booked separately for the same event e.g. weddings, parties, The Liner Hotel reserves the right to enforce group terms and conditions to those bookings regardless of using the Conference and Events Office and its Management Team.
The Management reserves its right to use appropriate discretion to amend or cancel a group booking when the group has more than 5 rooms in total, and have made more than one booking in different names in order to accumulate a larger group allocation.
How do I confirm a Group Booking? When is my deposit due?
All group bookings are held on option for up to 28 days, at which time The Liner Hotel must have received your signed contract to hold the rooms further; we require a 50% deposit at this point. A rooming list is required 14 days prior to arrival. (Or at the specified agreed date, please refer to your group booking form.) Payment in full is to be received 14 days prior to arrival.
How do I amend the original booking?
Any requests for amendments to numbers and/or arrangements shall be notified in writing to the Reservations Department at The Liner Hotel immediately. Changes will not be guaranteed but every effort will be made to accommodate them.
Rates & Commission
The rates quoted for this reservation are applicable for this reservation only. Moreover, they cannot be resold to a third party at rates different to those quoted.
No commission is payable on rates that have been agreed.
The Liner Hotel reserves the right to review its room prices from time to time. If you make a reservation more than one month in advance the quoted room price may change before the date of your stay.
In case of amendments or cancellations, am I charged?
At The Liner Hotel, we aim to be flexible with our guests. Hence, should you need to cancel or make amendments to your original booking, the following applies:
No charge if rooms are cancelled whilst they are held on option before the
28 day deadline.
If a cancellation is made up to 14 days prior to the group’s arrival, 100%
(total booking charge) cancellation charge will apply.
No refund will be made for any cancellations or amendments made 14 days
(or fewer) prior to arrival.
The Liner Hotel reserves the right to request/retain full amount for any
no shows (where the guest does not arrive).
Should the The Liner Hotel, for any reasons beyond its control, need to
make amendments to your booking we will reserve the right to offer
a suitable alternative.
Our expectations of your Group
You are responsible for any damage caused to the allocated rooms or the furnishings of the hotel. If any act, default or neglect by the guests or organisers results in damage or complaints from other guests, the customer shall be liable to pay to The Liner Hotel on demand the amount required to make good or remedy such damage.
In the event of willful or negligent interruption to the business or other customers, The Liner Hotel will charge the amount of any loss to the guest and terminate the contract. The Liner Hotel will not be liable for any refund or compensation in such circumstances.
The Liner Hotel / we means the property for which the contract has been agreed and /or as appropriate.
The customer / you means the organising body company and organiser responsible for commissioning and payment of the event.
The contract means the agreement between The Liner Hotel and the customer for a specific booking or series of bookings.
This contract applies to The Liner hotel and The Liner Hotel guests and no payment will be made to any third parties.
The Liner Hotel reserves the right to cancel the guest’s reservation without further notice if there is a breach of these Terms and Conditions.
The Liner Hotel do not accept liability for any failure to provide services contracted due to circumstances beyond our control including industrial action, postal communication, plant failures, supply of gas, electricity and water or fire alarm evacuation.
The details of these Terms and Conditions do not remove the common law duty to mitigate losses.
